Hi there! I’m Audrey Dubois, a puppeteer, multimedia artist, and drag king who creates under the stage name Xtian Mingle.
I’m interested in all things weird, queer, and D.I.Y. I gravitated to my chosen forms because of their scrappiness- with simple materials available at most hardware stores and junk shops, anyone can make their own take on these mediums.
I’ve been lucky enough to have some amazing mentors and collaborators, including the great people at Paperhand Puppet Intervention (Saxapahaw, NC) and Spiral Q (Philadelphia, PA), and want to give them the credit they deserve for my development as an artist. I’m currently based in and performing around Philadelphia (recent stages include Night of 1000 Kates at Union Transfer and Studio 34 in West Philly).
